In a world full of greedy landlords, 9m2 studios, and “co-living spaces” that are just adult bunk beds, the search for a home has become the ultimate blood sport. Whether you’re in a major city or a small town, the housing crisis isn’t letting anyone off easy.
Boom Chicago (Amsterdam’s premier comedy club) turns the chaos of modern life into a fast-paced, half-sketch, half-improvised comedy show. Starting with the nightmare that is the housing market, the cast spirals into everything that comes with it: side hustles, €2 tikkies, endless construction, burnout, and the questionable choices we make just to survive.
Your suggestions shape the show, guiding our cast through life’s milestones, setbacks, and absurd detours. No two nights are the same, but one thing is certain: the system may be broken, but at least we can laugh about it.
And remember, there’s no place like home… even if you can’t afford the deposit.

Merijn Scholten – Lemming
Premiere: De Kleine Komedie in Amsterdam, 13 mei 2026.
Na het overweldigende en nederig stemmende succes van TEAM SOLO, komt Merijn terug naar het theater met zijn tweede show: Lemming. Over goeie kuddes en slechte herders.
Goed nieuws dus voor alle liefhebbers die in groten getale naar de theaters kwamen en niet kunnen wachten om te zien waar La Scholten nu weer mee op de proppen komt.
Muzikaal? Ja!
Hilarisch? Waarschijnlijk!

Lisa Loeb – Fopfeminisme (cabaretcollege)
Premiere: DeLaMar in Amsterdam, 17 mei 2026.
Nederland klopt zich graag op de borst als wereldkampioen emancipatie, maar ondertussen zakte ons land in een jaar tijd van plek 28 naar 43 op de wereldranglijst voor gendergelijkheid – achter Trumps Amerika. In Fopfeminisme fileert Slimste Mens-winnaar Lisa Loeb 800 jaar Nederlandse fop-emancipatie. Gewapend met verpletterende statistieken, historische mindfucks en persoonlijke verhalen neemt ze ons systeem vlijmscherp onder de Loeb. Fopfeminisme is brutaal, confronterend en herkenbaar. Geen preek, maar een theaterervaring die je zo hard laat lachen dat je bijna vergeet hoe boos je zou moeten zijn.
